Spiritual bouquet

A Spiritual Bouquet is one of the most beautiful gifts Catholics can give: instead of flowers, you offer prayers, sacrifices, and devotions for someone’s intentions. These can be Rosaries, Novenas, fasting, acts of charity, Eucharistic Adoration, or even having Masses offered.

It’s a way of saying: “I will fight for you spiritually.” Families, friends, or entire groups can unite their sacrifices into one “bouquet,” making it a powerful expression of solidarity in faith.

Spiritual Bouquets are given at key moments—Baptisms, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries—or during times of trial like illness, grief, or hardship. They can also be given simply to encourage and strengthen someone.

At its core, this practice is about rediscovering a deep truth: the greatest gift you can give another person isn’t material—it’s spiritual.
